Dear EDK Families,
This week we continued our habitat unit by digging deeper into each unique habitat. We explored the ocean, grasslands, and freshwater wetlands. We discovered the different temperatures, climate, plants, and animals that live in each habitat. We also uncovered that plants and animals adapt to survive in their habitat.
Further, the kindergarteners learned all about the Great Horned Owl, which can be spotted in the forests and nature centers in our own community. They even had a chance to dissect owl pellets!
The EDK students explored the different characteristics of shells from the ocean at our science center! They even had the chance to see shark teeth!
The kindergarteners have been hard at work creating animal habitat books!
Dissecting owl pellets and searching for bones!
Ms. Tsevis came back to school and shared her knowledge on the Great Horned Owl!
Have a great weekend!
